GUIDELINE FOR STUDENTS IN SELECTING AND PRODUCING THE

MARKETING PLAN FOR THE PRODUCT OR SERVICES

1. Students are required to develop a marketing plan in order to market a new

product or services with capital NOT EXCEEDING RM500,000.

2. The project must cover marketing mix strategies.

3. The project must cover at least three aspects of the following:

a. Principle of Marketing

b. Consumer Behavior

c. Services Marketing

d. Retailing

e. Global Marketing

f. Integrated Marketing Communications

g. New Product Development and Branding

h. Pricing

i. Advertising

4. A marketing proposal of the project must be handed to the project supervisor and

the following items must be included:

a. Project Title

b. Product Benefits

c. SWOT Analysis

d. Market Analysis

e. Marketing Objectives

f. Marketing Strategies

g. Sketch of Product Prototype

5. Team members should not exceed FIVE (5) people per group (selecting and

terminating of team members can be done throughout the progress of the project

based on their level of commitment to the group).
